Job Information | Lead and manage a growing HR team that consists of a generalist, two recruiters and an administrative assistant. We are looking for somebody with experience in hospitality, multi-unit and preferably multiple states. The HR Director will be responsible for creating and developing structure around policies, procedures and talent management for a rapidly expanding Maison Kayser. The ideal candidate will have past experience leading a high-volume, fast growing organization, with a proven track record of success implementing new initiatives across many panels. · Function as a strategic business advisor to the CEO & COO regarding key organizational and management issues · Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the vision of the company and the achievement of the overall business objectives · Maintain and continuously update employee handbook to ensure all policies and procedures are current and relevant to the changing needs of the company · Work with top-level management to oversee and establish succession planning and talent management that corresponds to the needs of the company · Work with recruitment to develop a comprehensive and tactical plan for recruiting and retention, to build up a pipeline of talent to support our growth plan · Connect to universities and candidates in Europe to create a Management Training program and talent bench; responsible for setting up work permits and VISA’s · Manage compensation and benefit plans that are competitive and cost effective Create and administer employee appreciation programs (Line – Exec level); organize employee events · Monitor all unemployment and workers comp claims to ensure adhesion to proper protocols are met · Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR department by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training and leadership development, employee relations, compensation, and benefits Oversee and guide managers within all restaurant operations on employee relations and labor law issues, interviewing skills training and employment appraisal processes To be successful in this position, the candidate must be able to perform at a high level at all times. The individual must be a self-starter, an out-of-the box thinker, and capable of keeping up with a fast paced environment. The HR Director candidate should possess: · BS/BA degree; MBA/MA/PHR or SPHR preferred · At least six years’ experience leading HR within a start-up or high-growth environment · Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the hospitality industry · Proven track record of success with talent management and leadership management, as well as an ability to attract and retain outstanding talent · Flexibility to travel as appropriate to implement strategic HR initiatives across the company’s various locations as we continue to grow and expand · Must have the ability to bring immediate credibility to the HR department through professional qualifications and leadership skills · Strong ability to present to and motivate teams on new initiatives · Superior interpersonal communication and proven organizational skills |
